About

Hello! I'm Lucy, an illustrator, children's book author and primary school teacher. I live in Bristol with my husband, young daughter and cat.

Since graduating with an MA in children’s book illustration from Cambridge School of Art, I have worked across a range of projects, from writing and illustrating picture books to designing wedding invitations and creating soft toys.

Before becoming a teacher, I juggled all sorts of fun jobs alongside making books - from craft assistant and event stylist to cake artist, nursery and teaching assistant and shop gal at a lovely independent shop.

Clients include: CBeebies, Egmont, Dean, Farshore, House of Illustration, Jellycat, Oxford University Press and Pavilion Children's Books.
